We’re used to the funny things that Word does. We know all about the fact that Word isn’t InDesign, or any other page design software for that matter, and how to get Word to follow the design guidelines you spent so much of your time developing.
Word is a very powerful word processor, and offers features that allow for some very effective reporting, but there is an added interactive quality to Word templates that is not required in normal, paper-based, stationery. A letter can use details from Outlook. A report can link to live data in Excel.
